Frequently asked questions
What is an Aerocon wall panel?
Aerocon is a manufacturer-associated name used for certain lightweight panel products. Product composition and installation requirements depend on the selected range, so the current datasheet should be checked before specification.
Are AAC panels and Aerocon panels the same?
No. AAC panels and Aerocon-branded panel systems can use different materials and manufacturing methods. They should be compared as distinct systems against the project brief.
Which wall-panel thickness should I use?
Thickness depends on whether the wall is internal or external, its height, openings, supporting frame and the acoustic, fire and service requirements set by the project team.
Can wall panels be used externally?
Only a product approved for the exposure, support and finishing detail should be selected. Confirm the manufacturer detail and the architect or engineer's requirements.
Can panels be installed on rooftops?
Potentially, but a structural engineer must verify the existing building, loads, anchoring, wind exposure and supporting frame before work starts.
How is the final price calculated?
A quotation considers material, thickness, measured quantity, transport, unloading, floor level, framing, openings, access, labour, joint treatment, finishing scope and tax.
Does the quotation include transport?
Transport is confirmed explicitly in the written quotation because destination, load size, vehicle and unloading arrangements vary.
Does installation include framework?
Not automatically. Framework, structural supports and related engineering are included only when listed in the quotation scope.
Does installation include painting?
Painting, putty, primer and final decoration are exclusions unless the quotation includes them clearly.
Is a site visit required?
Simple supply enquiries may be priced from reliable drawings and quantities. Installation, unusual access or complex openings often benefit from a site inspection.
How is wall area calculated?
Gross wall length is multiplied by height and the measured opening area is deducted. Wastage and cutting allowances are then considered for the BOQ.
Can doors, windows and wiring be accommodated?
Yes, when openings, supports and service routes are planned with the chosen panel system. Late cutting can affect time, finish and material use.
How long does installation take?
Duration depends on wall area, crew access, framing readiness, openings, floor level and joint-finishing sequence. A programme is supplied after scope review.
Which areas are served?
Enquiries are accepted across Chennai, Chengalpattu, Kanchipuram, Tiruvallur and other Tamil Nadu locations subject to project scope and logistics.
Are technical datasheets available?
Current manufacturer literature can be requested for shortlisted products. Values vary by product and thickness and should be verified before purchase.
Is GST included?
Tax treatment is stated in the formal quotation. Website guidance is not a tax-inclusive final offer.
What should I share for a quotation?
Share wall dimensions or drawings, location, floor, openings, preferred product, required scope, site photographs and expected start date.
Is the calculator a final quotation?
No. It is a preliminary area and panel-count estimate. Final quantities depend on layout, orientation, cuts, joints and site conditions.
How can I request a site inspection?
Select site inspection in the quote form and provide enough location and project information for the team to arrange the next step.
